What are order receipt campaigns?

Order receipt campaigns let you send order receipts to customers in messenger. Along with the order receipt it's beneficial to thank the customer for their purchase and provide them with a discount code for a repeat purchase.

How to setup order receipt campaigns?

Go to auto-campaigns in the sidebar and select buyer from the customer journey stages. From here select order receipt campaign.
Now in the editor you can edit the messages, change the images, change the timing, add a discount code and once you're done, click on save and turn on the campaign.

Some common questions:-

How is revenue calculated if I have added a discount code?

We use a standard 72-attribution period like Facebook Ads and email marketing platforms. This means that someone viewing or clicking on the message sent and purchasing within 72 hours would be attributed as a sale from BiteSpeed.

Who will receive the messages?

A visitor who has opted in to messenger using any of the opt-in tools and has purchased a product will receive the message.
It will not be delivered to cart abandoners or anyone who has not purchased.

How to test my campaigns?

After setting up the campaign, open up your store URL in an incognito window, opt-in to messenger using any of the opt-in tools on your website and place a test order. You should now receive the order receipt in messenger for the test order placed.

Best practices:-

  • Add a discount code - Consider adding a discount code to incentivise a repeat purchase from the customer.

  • Thanking the customer - This is a good opportunity to welcome the buyer to your brand and thank them for their purchase with a welcoming image and text with an emoji or two.
