We suggest giving your visitors an option to opt-in to your Facebook Messenger/WhatsApp bot at every stage in the buying journey as non-intrusively as possible without clashing with existing email popups.

Let us look at the stages we can get visitors to opt-in:-

  • Welcome - This is when the user has just landed on your website and has just started browsing. We recommend using our visual popup with an attractive visual along with a welcome discount.

  • Persistent - An opt-in tool that stays on the user's screen is the most non-intrusive way of getting them to opt-in. We recommend using either the persistent discount widget or the spin the wheel popup with it's persistent widget.

  • Exit Intent - This is a recommended way to capture abandoning visitors with a spin the wheel popup to capture their attention and incentivise them for a purchase.

What if you are already using an email popup?

If you are already using an email popup, you just need to find out if it is appearing on welcome intent or exit intent and ensure that the Facebook Messenger/WhatsApp opt-in popups are not placed at that stage in the customer journey.

Do ensure that you turn on the persistent widget since it doesn't interfere with the email popups at any stage.
